to Kansas Field Trials, Eureka, KS.
Nestled
in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas, Eureka offers extraordinary
field trial grounds. Thousands of acres of rolling hills dotted with heavy
stands of ancient Oaks and Osage Orange, superb upland game bird cover, and
dozens of watershed ponds make the area the ideal place to field trial.
The Bechtel Ranch offers a new clubhouse/headquarters building that boasts a kitchen, large dormitory style
baths with showers, and laundry facilities. The camping area features RV hookups
and dumping stations. Breakfast and lunch are available on premise during
trials. All of these, coupled with the friendly, hospitable owners, Roger
and Erika Bechtel, are guaranteed to make your field trials truly remarkable and
memorable experiences.
The
Oliver Ranch sets adjacent to the Bechtel Ranch, the Brittany clubs use these
grounds extensively. The field trial participants from the Oliver Ranch
can often times be found enjoying the home cooked breakfasts and lunches served
at the Bechtel Ranch.
The
Huntington Ranch is also used for trials. Clint and Irlene Huntington were
the first Eureka residents to invite field trial participants to enjoy the
beautiful Flint Hills. The Huntington's have provided trial grounds for a
variety of field trial events.

Kansas law
requires permits for field trials. The regulations regarding field
trials are available at
http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/PDF/LEregs/R-13-03.pdf.
The permit
application must be submitted to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks
Regional Office in Chanute at least 15 days before an event.
